In the US, people with autism go to group homes or adult foster care, and not mental health unit. It's a developmental disability, rather than a mental illness. This man functions at the level of a child. Medication is really essential.

I totally get it. It can be unmanageable when the kids become adults, too big, too strong, impulsive, out of control, dangerous. No one can manage that at home 24 hours a day.

I had a mild stroke several years ago. I had a mild aphasia,and still have good and bad days, with times of brain fog. It gets frustrating.

As someone who is disabled, I don't think it is healthy being so wrapped up in your disability. It shouldn't be your whole identity and personality. My conditions effect every aspect of my life and hinder my life but it isn't who I am. I am not my disability.

I have mental health issues and I volunteer at the SPCA with the dogs and they have helped me grow a lot they are just fantastic seems like they can help us with just about anything was great seeing tane the dog is a great help 🙂

I recently had a stroke a couple of months ago. The experience has changed my life. I have dizziness and vertigo everyday. It has affected my memory and vision. The tiredness and fatigue is constant. I’m still having cognitive issues and slurred speech. Some days are better than others but what’s worse is the fear of having another. If I could only get rid of the dizziness. Will the dizziness ever go away?

Carlos is a phenomenal photographer. It’s lovely to see him so successful in art regardless of any condition. Especially as the mom of a teenager artist with her own challenges. ❤
